vibe stages photoviBeStages, our core program, is an 8-10 week, FREE collaboration performance experience in which 6-10 teenage girls work together with professional theater directors to write and perform an original show that illuminates what it is they need to say to the world. Offered three times a year (Summer, Fall and Spring), viBeStages introduces young women to elements of creative writing, acting, dancing, singing, and songwriting through collaboration as well as solo work.

viBeStages encourages girls to explore who they are, what they see, what they think and where they are going. The girls craft the structure of their show, gaining literacy and dramaturgy skills as they integrate their words and ideas into a cohesive narrative.

Past viBeStages shows have explored, celebrated and challenged such critical issues as body image, teen pregnancy, racism, youth rights, peer pressure, homophobia, cultural pride, and family pressure.

The fully designed performances are held free of charge at professional theaters, high schools, festivals and community spaces and are open to friends, family and all members of the community.
